Jeff's grandma, Leslie Stout, passed away during the night of August 31, 2010. She was 93 years old. We were saddened by this news. The kids and I had just visited her about 3 weeks prior to her death. I am grateful that we were able to see her at that time. She was in good spirits and appeared to be in good health. We had an excellent visit with her. The kids told her all about our vacation, then went downstairs while we had a nice chat. Unfortunately, Jeff was not with us, he had already gone home.
Jeff flew back to Utah for the Memorial Service. She did not want a funeral. He really enjoyed being with his family. His brother returned home without his family as well, so it was just the immediate Stout family in Tooele. They enjoyed being together without all the extended family for a few days. We will miss Great Grandma Stout, but we rejoice in the knowledge that she lived a long and full life, and that she has moved on to a better place.
