As is tradition, the last week of school was full of activities. We had awards ceremonies for everyone, except for Gabe (they don't give out awards to 1st grade). We also had the flag celebration for Gabe. It is traditionally done on Flag Day, June 14, but since we wouldn't be in school on this day, they performed early. The 1st and 2nd graders wear red white and blue and arrange themselves in a flag. Then they sing patriotic songs and give patriotic speeches. It is very cute, and I will get to see them perform again next year, bringing the grand total of performances to 7!
